I went to Tomo I back in 2002 (first trip here) and decided to try again a few days ago.
It's somehow a mixed experience.
The place is a bit odd (plain light brown walls), unfortunately they were playing some kind of dance music which really doesn't fit.
Ingredients were superbly fresh and food quality was very good but no exceptional.
Bill reached 1050 pesos for two + 150 tip (one reasonable bottle of wine priced in the 160 pesos).
"Mise en bouche" : a kind of pumpkin consommé + liver paté (spicy)
The wine, a Cadus 2009 (blend of three different Malbecs) = very good one, good price too. I guess it's a bottle that can be bought for 70/80 pesos in retail stores. Worth a try!
Appetizer 1 : a shrimp + prosciutto salad. Very fresh, very good, maybe lacking this small "plus" that would have made it exceptional (like 180 pesos for it...)
Appetizer 2 : I didn't taste it, those were hot bocconcinis if I recall.
