The other day I was in a cab, and our driver was on the phone. He was speaking a very interesting language that I was pretty sure was not Portuguese. I asked him where he was from and he told me Ukraine. I asked him if there was an area where there are a lot of places to go (like the Arabic part of town in Palermo, or China town) and he just laughed. Apparently there are only 2,000 people in BA from the Ukraine. So I asked if there was even 1 restaurant in the city, and he said yes! Traktir is at Salguero 505 on the corner of Sarmiento. We took a trip last night, and the food was a nice change from typical Argentine cuisine. It wasn't too pricey at 60 pesos for 2 people.
