Hi,

I'm a traveler from California, looking to have some supplements shipped from my naturopath back home. They are non-prescription, essentially just high-grade vitamins and herbs.

I've been looking into this and it sounds like I have to get some sort of form from the health ministry to get my package released from customs.

Has anyone else here gone through this process? Can you let me know some details about how this works?

Thanks!

Last time I did it I had to provide customs with a certificate from my doctor here in BA to verify they were being brought in on subscription.

Anything remotely medical gets sent to customs in Ezeiza....which means it costs a fortune to release. I had a tens machine sent and it ended up there.

I get stuff sent from Vitacost. I keep it under US$40 including shipping and under 600grams and it comes to my apartment.
