Obviously I can not imagine an old gaucho or Italian pulling out a pack of Skoal; however is there really not ANY type of chewing tobacco here. Has anyone asked at the tobaqueria?

You can get coca - the dried green lead stuff but it's not the same.
I would rather have protenos spitting chew than letting their dogs crap everywhere.

Hi, yes chewing tobacco does exist in Argentina. I have only seen a few users in Salta and Formosa. I was working with a guy in Salta who used it and tried some, wish I hadn't ! I've also seen it in Brazil but can't remember where.
