Just announced.. Those of us who flew could see it coming.. I was on a flight and the engines wouldn't start (just 30 minutes after it landed) - total disorganisation. Will be interesting to see what happens - do prices need to come up to make airlines at least profitable? If they can't make money with oil prices this low things are really stuffed.. Maybe too many employees doing to little

Acording to lanacion they had 50 pilots for 4 planes. To a layman that seems high.
 
Aerolineas Argentinas was subsidizing them with 1 million pesos a day to feed them traffic ...

The new managers at AR stopped the subsidy last night.

Today the company folded.

It all smells.
 
Sol was subsidized by Aerolineas !! 1 million pesos per day to avoid bankruptcy during election year...!
 
But the poor schmucks who are left trying to get to their destination yet another estafa argentina, sad to say!
