Hello everybody
I just wanted to flag a radio show on-air this evening aimed at English speakers in Buenos Aires, both native and Argentine.
BA live (be alive!) on Urbana 89.5fm (www.urbana895fm.com.ar) airs each Thursday at 9pm and gives you a terrific concoction of Buenos Aires life over the airwaves.
On tonight's BA live, Liz Gleeson talks Street ArteBA and Hand of Dan puts his money where his mouth is. Plus, an Argentina debut - an exclusive set from British DJ Russ Denman.
We'd really love any feedback from the community so please have a listen and email us at [email protected] with your thoughts, suggestions, comments.....
Below is some more info.
Tune in and check it out.
9pm Thursdays.
Urbana 89.5fm
BA live (be alive!) gives you a slice of Buenos Aires life - in English.
A two-hour weekly on Urbana 89.5FM, Sorrel leads her regular guests through live music, fine dining, the hottest galleries and exhibitions as well as unveiling hidden corners of the city, all blending perfectly in tune with DJ Rama's (Surface Bookings) choicest records of the moment.
Regular guests with their area of expertise are Jonah from indie-rock band Los Alamos, Sunae, owner of private pan-Asian restaurant Cocina Sunae, Liz from Time Out BA and tour guide Chance Miller. Sorrel, the presenter, is a journalist on the Buenos Aires Herald's entertainment desk.
Aimed at English speakers, be they native or Argentine, in Buenos Aires, a special guest pops up every show to discuss a subject close to their heart: including the Argentine vocalist of The Draytones talking his tour of Malvinas, ice-cream delivery, favourite grapes, driving from BA to Bogotá and back, and pub quizzes.
With a diary section aimed at keeping you busy over the weekend, every BA live finishes up with a DJ set. Guest artists include Argentine DJs Deep Mariano, Soundexile, Nicholas Van Orton and Baunder while the international side has been covered by Martijn ten Velden, Michael C., Smokin´Jo and Hype's Matthew Ashley.
