I have had to mispronounce my own last name to the point that my 6year old argues with me that the 'ase' at the end is said 'Ah-Seh' and not 'eiz' as it should be. That makes me (and probably lots of my ancestors) cringe.
 
I had to give my email and confused a receptionist when I said gmail in Spanish... "Heh-mael." "Zheemell?" "Yes, that."

I'm surprised at how they take English names and write them in Spanish to make it sound the same (like the name Braian.) Seems silly to me.
