I checked this thread when people first started posting, and viewed this woman´s websites and Craigslist postings... since then, all of them (with the exception of her cat´s website) have been taken down!

What goes around, comes around! I hope that a lot of good (more than just the deposit money back) comes out of this. Shame on her!

Well, next step is to put a link from the http://www.portaldeabogados.com.ar/
(the main forum of Argentinean lawyers) pointing to this thread to show her colleagues how she behaves (supposedely, since she has the right to defend herself, and we could all be wrong of course. Anyway we only used informations which have a public access : blogs, websites, facebook, wikipedia.... Every site she deliberately decided to post on, and to leave a public access to it).

Could make a good story for Clarin too...

Well done BA expats - over 100 posts in just over 5 hours, how quickly the noose tightens. And well done Bailey for posting about this, I guess most people would just go home pissed off and not think to warn others. Well I think this thread should be linked to whenever a newcomer appears on the forum asking about temporary rentals, as a warning and to let them know that they should report back here if they are scammed.

Pauper, good points. I think this thread really shows what this community is all about. Us foreigners may come off as idiots in this city individually, but dammit we are powerful as a group.

I would have reported this, but it was hearsay for me at the time. Someone told me that it happened to some other guy, and it didn't happen to me because I abruptly went home in December, leaving the keys in the mailbox. (However, I never signed a contract, and Veronica/Victoria/Vagina/Vhatever refused to give me one after-the-fact -- my own stupid fault.)

Thanks Bailey for posting this information. With the information here, I hope you can pursue this more. $200 or whatever isn't a ton of money, but I think it's just the principle of it. You have my support if you need it, and that of this forum as well, I imagine.

This is rivoting. Having been screwed over one too many times in BsAs, I'd like to lend a hand wherever I can. What's the game plan? By not taking action I'd say we're being complicit and letting the next expat get their wallet stroked. Rally!!!!

The Wikipedia change isn't holding. I've re-edited the entry and plan on doing so daily.

Also, I figure it's only a matter of time before she takes down her photos from the blog, so I've saved them off here.

Personally I'm willing to contribute $100 pesos towards renting one of those apartments and getting a cartonero in and the locks changed! That plan is awesome. You guys are great, this has been a very interesting thread for sure. Bring her down!

Yes, but now she knows (her wikipedia changed back to normal, her blog is locked, ...).
