Holà from Ottawa, Canada. We will be staying in BA from mid-Jan to mid-Feb 2023. We lived in Colombia awhile back and have stayed in Cuenca, Ecuador & visited Peru pre-pandemic. We are actively searching for lodging in BA on Airbnb for the 4 of us (all adults in our 70s). We understand that Recoleta is a good & safe neighborhood. We are also exploring San Telmo. Recoleta is probably safe enough unless you are the Vice President of the Republica or you somehow offend La Campora. And maybe a motochorro or two. Other than that perfectly safe.

Recoleta is your best bet. Safe and generally quiet. All the conveniences right there.
