Just found this elsewhere. Haven't tried it but maybe it can be useful for someoe here.

Well if you try normally to stream from US from BBC's Olympic site,it will give you a message about not being able to stream to your location (because you are in the US and NBC sucks dick).

Change your DNS servers to these (might have to reboot) and then you will be able to stream live from the BBC (without all the NBC sob stories, commercials, and idiots like Brian Secrest).

The primary (preferred) DNS IP address is:

64.250.122.104

The secondary (alternate) DNS IP address is:

199.167.30.144

Then go use this link:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/olympics/2012/live-video

Just change the DNS back later when your done watching (although for most it will be auto).

Win7 Instructions:
1. Open Control Panel
2. Click "Network and Sharing Center"
3. Click "Change Adaptor Settings"
4. Double click your active "Local Area Connection XX"
5. Click "Properties"
6. Select "internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)" then click "Properties" button
7. Select "Use the following DNS server addresses:" radio button and then put in the numbers I listed above
8. Click "OK"
9. Done! Just make sure if you have numbers in the DNS entries already, you write them down so you can put them back in later. Most are probably set to automatically anyway.

P.S. Fuck NBC!

There was a time when those of us that lived in the US were able to see all the olympics live, ALL the olympics. Until $$ got into the picture. I remember when i was younger watching all of the winter olympics. Sad that its changed

The Los Angeles Olympics (1984, not 1932) I sat in front of the TV from ~10am to 10pm (or later, because it was West Coast).

They trimmed back 3 hour long soap operas to 40 mins each ("All My Children", "One Life to Live"(?), & "General Hospital") for a break from 12pm-2pm and the news (local & national) from 5pm-7pm.

The (European) Commies boycotted as a response to the 1980 boycott of the Moscow Olympics because of their incursion into Afghanistan (oh the irony), so Uncle Sam's nieces & nephews cleaned up!

NBC has remedied this. Now it's possible to watch 100% of the Olympics (as long as there is a camera at whatever event you want to see). They are providing the media feed (for example you can watch every ping pong table, boxing match, anything . . . .). There might not be commentary for each event, but you can see it.

After suffering random buffering with expat shield i decided to have a look at some other things like the one above.

its highly recommended that you don't leave this dns on as they can also redirect things like your banking etc but they work.

the one above is a "free" service provided by http://tunlr.net/
It may be a startup who haven't yet started charging or something else.
When something is free you have to ask what the catch is!
They've also recently blocked the uk dns due to the demand.

http://www.unblock-us.com/ provides the same service and have a 1 week trial but charge $4.99 after.

something like http://www.sordum.net/?p=4573 would help you quickly switch between dns's on windows.
