I'll new to Buenos Aires and am renting a room from a girl who rents an apartment from a leasing agency. I'll be in this place for at least a year (if all goes according to plan), so was thinking it would be relatively just to send a Xoom transfer directly to her bank account here since my rent is in pesos and it has a good rate and also avoid having to pick up cash and then her depositing it again. Are there any problems with this that I'm missing? (such as taxes??) I've seen that a lot of expats here pay rent in cash so I want to make sure I'm not thinking of doing something silly.
