Temporary Residency And Dni

Greetings all!

Quick question- on the back of my DNI it shows the "fecha de radicación" and "fecha de vencimiento"- are these the same as starting and expiry date for my temporary residency? I found it odd that it was for two years August 2016-August 2018, since I was under the impression that each Non-Mercosur temporary residency was for 1 year.
