I now have the Certificado De Residencia Precaria (temporary residency) . I heard that you must be in the country for 6 months. Is that 6 consecutive months or 6 months during a 12 month period. I was planning 2 trips abroad so didn't want to muck it up after all this work to get it. I checked with the migraciones website but couldn't find anything on this subject.

I dont think six months consecutive is accurate - specifically because they told me that now that i have the precaria, I can come and go as I please.
What's more worrisome for me is that the status on the website still says im missing docs, even thouhg I went there a month ago with the final doc from my employer and they told me they had it all and i should wait for my DNI to arrive now.
