to all you animal lovers, real tear jerker!

Doesn't look pretty, agreed. Unfortunately it'll probably take a nasty accident (which is almost inevitable when unpredictable animals like tigers are so close to equally unpredictable humans) for the owners to rethink their strategy.

Just to clarify, this is the zoo in Lujan and isn't the (pretty well run) Capital Federal zoo in Palermo.

A Local told me this has been in the local news as well. Apparently, they "sedate" the animals for these photo-ops.

It is not well run at all! The animals don't have enough space and they have loads of animals that are meant to be in a cold environment standing in the sun without any shade. You are also allowed to feed the animals, which means they are eating food that animals of their nature should not eat. Also, animals naturally require a certain amount of space/a territory which does not have other predators in it but the zoo in Palermo goes against all those guide lines and lumps them all in together. It is more like a circus than a zoo.
