Translator and apostille

Does anyone have any experience having official documents translated to English and apostilled in Buenos Aires? Any recommendations much appreciated.

Birth certificates from what countries?

Of course birth certificates for anyone born outside of Argentina must originate from that country...in the USA by the appropriate Secretary of State. If I remember correctly, nothe Apostlle can be requested at the same time as the birth certificate.

I hope I'm wrong, but I don't think the US Embassy can perform the Apostlle. In any case, foreign documents with an Apostille must be translated by an official translator in Argentina and the translation must then be legalized in Argentina to be accepted by the appropriate governmental agency.

Based on previous posts I have read, it should be possible to have an online business get the Apostlle for a birth certificate (or any notarized document), but I never used one for this purpose.

No amigo. Babies born here. I need to register them in a few countries so I need apostilled and translated birth certificates. I need a local translator in BsAs to do the job. A relative did it 2 years ago and it was $15. Today I was quoted $75 so I’m shopping around in case someone can recommend something cheaper. Penny pinching days at its best in the silver land!!!

There is a website of the Colegio de Traductores Publicos with a listing so you may contact many of them and ask them what you need. I hired a translator to work on foreign documents and they know about the process of "legalizacion" and I imagine that they also know about apostilles too, so I suggest that you ask them.
