I just got the tail end of a news program that talked of Christina replacing heads of airforce, military, navy.....true? if so any ideas of why?

They have made a habit of it. Off with their heads as soon as their hair starts to grow past their caps.

Check how many top brass purges there have been since the Ks are in power. It started clearly when they gained power and cleared the path for those uniforms that were formerly posted in the southern regions. They brought them north with their luggage. Same happened with most of their pinguino brown nosers.

No branch has been spared. The most recent and less expected was when it became Gendarmeria's turn. Thus far the less conflicting force, until the government fucked up big time with the slaries scales.

Been going on for many years. No surprise there,

Also makes sense after the latest cabinet musical chairs game. New bosses demand new allegiances. Politics 101

A friend in the know told me he suspects the new heads have been appointed with a brief to sell off land and property used by the army here.

Most public ranges (Tiros Federales) were located at one time in the outsquirts of town but eventually the city grew up all around them.
Now those large properties lie in premium locations. The Army will be kindly asked give those grounds for "social housing projects" but those will hardly see the light of day.

Same way the they want to grab "La Sociedad Rural Argentina" in BA or the TFABA for those magnificent social programs it's already happening in most of the main cities where the Army once established those ranges. In some cases, the land was donated by civilians for that purpose. Changing the destination of the property might revoke the donation. Thus the central government has been treading lightly and negotiating with local authorities looking for a way to pull the future real estate deals off.

Something similar with those rail yards in Caballito, etc.

Real estate development like the one that brought us Puerto Madero is slowly entering a new phase.

They know a little thing or two about this stuff, don't they?

The good news is that with the military in such a state of disarray, it means that any government (this or another) will not be able to generate a foreign conflict to distract the masses.

Tried invading Ghana and then Angola with Moreno's "Clarin Miente" products see if they would pick a fight with us but those countries can't take a hint. :p

By TF you mean TFABA, right?

Most are privately run, not owned.
