Another fortnight in sunny BA and then back to Minneapolis, where the current temperatures (in fahrenheit) are given below:
Appleton, in western Minnesota, reported a low of 17 degrees below zero.
In southern Minnesota, Austin bottomed out at 14 below overnight.
In the Twin Cities, the mercury slid to zero at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport around 4 a.m.
The National Weather Service said its cooperative observer reported an overnight low of 10 below in Embarrass, in the northeastern part of the state.
New Ulm, in south-central Minnesota, dropped to 11 below, while Morris, Olivia and Owatonna both bottomed out at 0 below.
Alexandria, International Falls and Rochester fell to 7 below.
Another chilly night is forecast, with lows ranging from near 10 below in southwestern Minnesota to near zero in the east-central part of the state.
