University Student Coming to Work in BA

How lively is Buenos Aires in the winter time? I will be missing out on summer fun in the northern hemisphere, after all :p

Buenos Aires is always lively (well, except for when the whole city goes on vacation in January-February) but winter is winter and summer is summer, and action happens accordingly just like any big city. Based on what I'm seeing on this thread you should get an apartment in Las Cañitas and take the train out to Vicente Lopez every day (it's pretty fast, safe, and easy).

It will be very hard for you to find a temporary rental in Zona Norte, too bad because it's a really nice area. If you do end up try to rent something within 5-6 blocks from a Mitre trainstation.
