Unlocked cell phone

Hello,
My name is Julie and I just got to BsAs last week. I brought a cell phone that was suppose to be unlocked, but it turns out it wasn't.

Does anyone have an unlocked cell phone that I can buy/borrow for a month? Or any suggestions on how to obtain one?

200+ pesos will buy you an unlocked basic phone almost anywhere. I've bought a couple of brand new Samsungs recently in Caballito. Unlocking yours will probably cost as much and is an uncertain process.

im selling a great condition blackberry tour 9650 unlocked from the US. i've been using it here for a couple months on a data plan with claro but also would work with movistar and personal plans. 850 pesos (cheaper than mercado libre)

also OP unlocking most phones is really easy. try to do it yourself (i'm no computer buff but it took me about 20 minutes total). this website works super well if it's a blackberry: http://freemyblackberry.com/unlockcode.php

I agree with LaurenW: google your phone make and model number with the word "unlock". Worst case scenario is you brick your phone, but that's never happened to me.
