US warns Iran over threat to block oil route

The US Navy has said it will not tolerate disruption to a vital oil-trade route,following an Iranian threat to close it.
Iran warned it would shut the Strait of Hormuz if the West imposed more sanctions over its nuclear programme.
The US and its allies believe Iran is trying to develop a nuclear weapon - a charge Tehran denies.
Reacting to Iran's warning, a US Fifth Fleet spokeswoman said it was "always ready to counter malevolent actions".
The Strait of Hormuz links the Gulf - and the oil-producing states of Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) - to the Indian Ocean. About 40% of the world's tanker-borne oil passes through it.
The US maintains a naval presence in the Gulf, largely to ensure the transport of oil remains open.

ok but where are you going with this scarface? what is your stance?

mine is that this is nothing more than the latest attempt to expand the american empire. iran is not a threat to us, never has been. the US has been doing everything within its power to antagonize iran into making a first strike, which in truth would be nothing more than self defense. iran is not the aggressor. the US is the aggressor. the US is the world's biggest bully and it's teaming up with its tag team partner israel for a one two punch.

We are following the same formula with iran that we've done to countless other sovereign nations for decades.

1) Demonize the nation in the press over phony charges in order to win public opinion and support.
2) Try to depose of that nation’s leader(s) either through corruption, assassination or phony revolution.
3) Bait that nation into making a wrong first move, just like a chess match.
4) If no wrong move is committed, we will “create” an incident, which will give us the moral high ground and justification to attack.
5) Use propaganda button words like “freedom” and “democracy” to carry out an illegal invasion.
6) Destroy that nation’s infrastructure and create a power vacuum.
7) Install one of our puppet dictators, which takes orders from the white house.
8) Give lucrative, no bid, government contracts for rebuilding that nation’s infrastructure to cronies and minions of the white house.
9) Grant exclusive access to that country’s natural resources to white house cronies at below market values, further enriching the existing power elite while further impoverishing the poor of that nation.
10) Repeat this process every few decades as needed.
