Used camera equipment in BA

Someone complained about the old fashioned wedding photographers in BA so I'm wondering if its a good place to buy used or vintage cameras and lenses, I could use some old manual focus lenses for my Canon DSLR...

Are there specific streets dedicated to this kind of stuff?

yup.
Libertad, between Corrientes and Lavalle, in the microcento.

prices on NEW cameras will be quite high. older cameras will vary.
you will also find deals on mercado libre, and at various flea markets- obviously there will be some cameras at the fancy flea market at Plaza Dorrego in San Telmo on Sundays, but I would keep my eyes open at the more downscale fleas- like the one at parque centanario, or at parque los Andes, both on weekends.

the farther you get from Recoleta, the more prices will go down.

There are all kinds of wacky antique objects that pop up in Argentina- some are at world market prices, but many are not. Things seldom leave here- the same rules that make Ipods so expensive make it seldom worth the trouble to export stuff.
