Used/Inexpensive furniture and/or recycled supplies

Hey all -

Im moving into a new place and Im looking for some creative and inexpensive decorating ideas. I can pay a little for the basics - a sofa or futon, some chairs - but I wondered if people had suggestions for finding recycled materials to make a table, shelves and the like. At home I'm an Ikea and dumpster diving kind of decorator
