Wham here comes the tsunami

These are the two sources mentioned above, that talk about no cap gains tax when selling a personal residence. Trying to verify whether this is true in forum members' experience:

Yeah, even through it's an older thread, I bumped it since it seemed to have the most relevant comments about the law change in 2018 that added a new cap gains tax for real estate sales.

Was hoping @perry, @steveinbsas or another member might know from personal experience whether the sale of one's personal residence is exempt from that new capital gains tax. Cheers
