What Was Us Election Night Like 4 Years Ago In Ba?

It sounds like Sugar Bar in PAlermo will be reporting the results. I assume a place like the Alamo as well. But what was it like last time around? I generally make the assumption that the American expat community leans a little towards Obama. I don't see too may republicans down here.

I'm wondering if there were and/or might be festivities if the election looks in his favor. I know in some bigger cities there were parties in the streets. Might it be like that here?

It was a heavily pro-Obama crowd at Sugar in the last election and it was quite the party as the results came in. Lots of cheering, lots of celebrating, lots and lots of people. Pretty international turn out actually, not just people from the US. The party went late.

I wouldn't expect that level of enthusiasm this year, even if Obama wins. It will however be crowded so get there early if you want a seat.
