I have three pairs of Tod's I no longer use, where could I take them to sell? Is there a shop that specialize in used designer clothes and accessories?

You could try http://www.renovatuvestidor.com/

The thing is, women who could appreciate your Tod's will most likely frown upon used items... you know what I mean? It is a cultural thing. Buying and selling used items has become more popular very recently (I have friends who almost started a fundraiser when I told them I had rented a dress for a wedding ), and prejudiced people only do it under the excuse that it is for some philantrophic cause, or to favor the environment (which is cool now - you know, those HCO people/hippies con osde ;) ).

WOW, I sold a pair fo Fendi Palazzo sunglasses for like 27 USD in New York... and I was amazed, I thought they were worth at least $100 more.

So I should simply wait another 20 years and sell them as vintage? ;)

There are many options:
- post for sale on Mercado Libre
- sell on consignment at a feria Americana in San Isidro
- sell them at a feria in Palermo that buys shoes (you won't get much, but then they're taking up space in your closet)
- take them to Juan Perez, but you need at least ten items to have a consignment account with them. They don't buy anything at this megastore of used clothing for men, women and children. You'll need to check back on whether items were sold to get your money. http://vestitenjuanperez.blogspot.com.ar/
- donate to the Salvation Army store that will pick them up at your house if you have more stuff to donate.
- donate with the British and American Benevolent Society in Acassuso http://casinuevo.tumblr.com/sobrecasinuevo
- post a classified ad on BAexpats
- give them away to women working as maids in your neighborhood who need good shoes; they'll be thrilled to wear them.

I make regular donations of clothing and shoes to the Salvation Army store. I haven't taken things to Juan Perez in years; the store (M.T. Alvear 1365) is so large than it's not worth waiting months or years to see if things are sold. There are several ferias americanas in the Congreso area that buy for their store and ask what you want for it.

You probably won't get a lot if you do consignment, they tend to take a hefty commission. If you're not in a hurry just post them in expat classifieds here, facebook, craigslist, you'll probably get more interested parties that way and there's no cost to you.
