Metropolis Moving - A New York City based residential moving company is looking for an energetic, organized, fast learning and responsible BA expat to join our team as a home office based scheduling/office assistant. The job requires attention to detail, good writing and grammar skills, and good telephone skills. That's correct - you get to work in your pajamas!
Past living/working experience in NYC is also required - it's really important to have a sense of the way things work in NYC to understand the logistics
A typical work week will be 3-4 days per week - and during our end of month rush period maybe 5-7 days in a week. Working day hours are between 8am and 6pm EST. We need someone who has an essentially completely open schedule because the needs of the company require a lot of flexibility. You are able to begin immediately.
Payment is calculated via a percentage based commission of the gross amount of sales you bring in per month. Working part time during the busy summer season you can expect to make an average of $1,000 USD to $1,500 USD per month. Possibly more when you gain more experience.
Duties will include --
** Pricing individual moving jobs
** Scheduling the jobs without causing problems or delays
** Answering phone calls
** Maintaining the schedule with the movers for the next day
** And much, much more
