Just arrived at EZE - but I have no Stamp in my passport

In most European countries you can ASK for a stamp even if you have a EU passport, is this not a thing in Arg?
When we entered at La Quiaca I asked for a stamp, because I was also worried about not having one, and the guy said they wouldn't do it 🤷‍♀️ . I know my experience is just one data point, though.

Back in the day before Western Union, there was More Money on Libertad. They would hassle me about have an expired passport stamp - saying this was the "last time" they would let me receive money with an expired stamp. I guess I prefer not having the stamp come to think of it. Is More Money still around?

If you look up Candelario Mancilla (the Chilean border post) on Google Maps, you can get a sense of the area.

Coming from Chile, you start at the end of the Carretera Austral just south of Villa O'Higgins, take a small boat (not a car ferry) a couple hours across a lake, then stamp out of Chile and hike or bike 21 km to the Argentine side of the border where you stamp back in. At that point you can either take another ferry across another lake or hike a couple of hours to go around it and end up at the area near Glaciar Huemul, where you can hike/bike/hitchhike/etc. into El Chaltén. Challenging to be sure, but a once-in-a-lifetime crossing!

The country line looks like this: https://www.google.com/maps/@-49.3316531,-72.8863142,3a,75y,216.17h,103.59t/data=!3m8!1e1!3m6!1sAF1QipMdKGvcbAMgFkc7iQnG4N2aEalM9JhOa9NWFedC!2e10!3e11!6shttps://lh5.googleusercontent.com/p/AF1QipMdKGvcbAMgFkc7iQnG4N2aEalM9JhOa9NWFedC=w203-h100-k-no-pi0-ya345.65784-ro-0-fo100!7i8704!8i4352?entry=ttu

And the Argentine border post looks like this: https://www.google.com/maps/@-48.9995458,-72.8382879,3a,75y,348.81h,101t/data=!3m8!1e1!3m6!1sAF1QipPUKJMMhK-S1i-ShGOz-vJK4YFJEI0NAbwMVh6v!2e10!3e11!6shttps://lh5.googleusercontent.com/p/AF1QipPUKJMMhK-S1i-ShGOz-vJK4YFJEI0NAbwMVh6v=w203-h100-k-no-pi-10-ya281-ro0-fo100!7i7680!8i3840?entry=ttu
That is super cool! I'd love to bike that, it looks beautiful. I wish my husband was in to nature as much as I am

Libertad y Santa Fe, right? I remember the (bad) ol' days lol

At the time they check my passport, they always ask me for my email address (both directions).
I will then get an email (subject: Comprobante Transito - MIGRACIONES.GOB.AR) with a pdf attachment.
Note that if the transit is during weekends or after regular business hours, the email will be sent during the next business day.
