I have an international version of the phone. I use Claro in Argentina. In Brazil I get 5G service as well.

I have pixel 8 pro and do get 5G service. Keep in mind if you are getting LTE, it is sufficient for most use cases. Some people actually turn off 5G on purpose to increase battery time.
