    South Africa

From what I've read about - it was gonna' get real dry and dangerous... but somehow they postponed the water crisis until 2019. Day 0 didn't happen yet. Just how reliable the reports of the situation are; I cannot say, but I had been following the issue for a few months because of the same...

    Laws: Good for a laugh

think of it like 'nuclear stalemate'. no one WANTS to pull the trigger; but having some leverage keeps things more balanced.

    Ear plugs

When i had to sit through 3 weeks of very loud work on my place (hammer drills, jack-hammer, hammering for hours at a time) i used my industrial ear protectors so i could concentrate on work - woorked great. White noise works well too, noise cancelling headphones. All are bulky, but nothing is...

    I hate the bikes

How much would anyones life be affected by having to deal with a fatal accident? Guilt of causing death? The burden of proof one has to bear when involved? Someone not able to follow rules obliges everyone else to be part of their mental illness. Argentina is rife with being 'OBLIGATED' more...

Desperate for raw or pasteurized milk

The problem here is that it's next to impossible to find things like buttermilk, sour cream, certain cheeses, etc. The lack of experience with things like cheese [gouda for example] is very evident. The local brands try to emulate but fall flat on their faces, and imports of certain items have...

    I hate the bikes

It's pretty bad here, but these things occur in first-world cities as well. Cyclist ought to observe the same rules of the road as motorists even in the bike lanes. Pedestrians ought to observe pedestrian rules. I've seen dogs on the street that behave better than motorists, motorcyclists...

    How healthy is "soda"

It tends to be higher in sodium; some brands claim lower sodium - but in general, it's a hellova' lot better than cola (no sugar, 0 calories, no hidden 'secret' ingredient s

Best neighborhood for 6 weeks with a 2 year old

I'm bias because I lived in Villa del Parque with my family for 12 years. It's not touristy, but neither is it boring. It takes a bit longer to get to more touristy places, but for your husband it would take little time to get to Agronomia. There's a nice plaza for the kids, with shops...

Information on importing yacht from USA

Probably the easiest (not the cheapest) is to go through a broker. Some offer international transfers by water or by land, and homologation. The upside is that the broker knows the right channels to go through; the downside - the arm and leg you loose to get it done.
