    Weekend resort

Thanks Frank. For years we've been going to Almarena in Costa del Este. It's quite luxurious and has everything, very good food and terraces overlooking a beautiful beach that's occasionally visited by penguins and sea lions. But it's a four hour drive and, now that we have more grandchildren...

    Weekend resort

Thanks guys I looked at the hotels you suggested, the look quite suitable for our weekend away. Noisy kids shouldn't be a problem after our brood gets there.

In 2023 I bought a new Hyundai Creta with automatic for 23k-usd. I'm quite pleased. It was on the showroom floor so we had delivery in a few days.

    Charles Schwab - need information

I highly recommend them. As I've posted elsewhere, I'm continually impressed with the people they have answering their phones. They're knowledgeable and smart and very patient. Banks will not let you have an account unless you reside in the U.S so it's important to have a mailing address in the US, a US drivers license and a US phone number. Also the US and Argentina are beginning to share information so stay away from any official Arg systems.

I have found the Schwab phone reps to be infinitely patient and capable when helping me organize my finances. I suggest you call Schwab and give them a chance to work with you. When I started with them a few years ago I needed help learning to use their systems for things like purchasing cds...

    Airfare Discounts

Thanks for the info. I Googled 'senior discounts' but didn't find anything. Air France had a page for senior discounts but it's no longer available. I will try duckduckgo.com I, too, have had to adjust my travels several times as I aged. First, no more 40 hours trips to Asia. Then no stops...
