Passing along some information I received from the US Embassy this morning, in case it's helpful to anyone who is attempting to fly out of the country during the quarantine:

Thanks - our landlord arranged a 'fixer' of a driver with whom she works. She seems confident he will be able to navigate through police checkpoints. Again, dice roll - we don't have many other options!

We're healthy and asymptomatic. We've been self-quarantining for most of our time here. The Saturday flight was the first I could get that had the right connections to get us back to the States. Dice roll - here we go.

This is a long shot, because I know all of this is happening very fast and the details aren't yet in focus. But has anyone on the forum read anything about what the impact would be in trying to drive the airport on Saturday, if we can show that we are ticketed to leave the country as US citizens...

Our landlord just informed us that we need to pick up groceries now, as the government will announce a ‘strict quarantine’ this afternoon. She also sent along this form about how to handle cleanliness protocols. Seems as though the lockdown is starting.
