Calling abroad from a pre-paid mobile phone card

This is the dumbest post I came across on this website. How would I know how bad it is here unless I experienced it myself? By listening to moxxxons like you?

Calling abroad from a pre-paid mobile phone card

Could be that you are an immediately recognizable asxxle? What's your problem? Don't like it, so I am leaving. I know better places where to spend my $$$. You can stay in this dirty, thieving, undeveloped place. I can afford better.

Calling abroad from a pre-paid mobile phone card

Yeap, I figured that already. Not my cup of tea. Going back to Europe in mid December, counting down the days now ....

Calling abroad from a pre-paid mobile phone card

It's pathetic!!! I tried to call my family back in Europe and even though I didn't get connected, it swallowed my 20 peso credit. In terms of mobile communications and the Internet - this is a 4th world country.

Calling abroad from a pre-paid mobile phone card

Hi Igor, I surely will do so on Monday when my Spanish course commences. But until then, I am very unlikely to meet such a person (and it pours outside as if there was no tomorrow). I just wanted to let my family know that I arrived OK. In principle, I just wanted to know whether it is possible...

Calling abroad from a pre-paid mobile phone card

Hi, I just landed here yesterday, so HELLO to everybody. I got me a pre-paid mobile phone card with CTI Movil. I was explained by the clerk that it is impossible to send SMS messages abroad, but now I am finding out that I cannot make a phone call either. When I am trying to dial European phone...

    The economic future from Argentina

How can you seriously defend your ideas when you obviously lack any kind of knowledge on the subject? As far as I am aware, Brazil's population stood at 188 million people in 2006, compared to roughly 450 million Europeans. Has anybody explained to you that high inflationary levels are amongst...

Re: vias rentista/ dni/cdi/buying an apt

Hmm, interesting - and very odd. I have never heard of another country where foreigners are required to supply a proof of the source of their funds for the purpose of buying a property. This is highly odd. I could show them my bank statements from my home country, accounts from my US stock...

    Kids In Need!

I have become a cynical person over the years and gave up on most of my beliefs and ideas. But there are two which I am unwilling to abandon - environment and children in need. I have been helping about 12 kids in the Philippines in terms of school supplies and tuition fee coverage. This has...

BA real estate: buyers or sellers market?

Yes, this would be my idea. I am coming down to BA for a 3-month trial stay this year. And if I like the BA wibe, I intend to habitate there for half a year (preferably in my own space) and rent it out for the other half. Living in Europe all year round can get pretty depressive - fortunately my...

BA real estate: buyers or sellers market?

All of the above written is well understood. But this wasn't really my question. My question was rather related to the supply/demand situation and an oppinion on the future outlook in the real estate market in BA .

BA real estate: buyers or sellers market?

I have noticed some discrapancies regarding the BA real estate market. I am not familiar with the market at all but some things really make me wonder. While it appears there is an ample supply of both - real estate for sale and real estate for rent, the rental prices for appartments of 60 - 80...

    Recoleta vs San Telmo

Hi, JG. Thank you for your submission. I am wondering whether the dirt/litter/polution issue in Argentina is a matter of detoriated moral standards - a consequence of the economic collapse in 2001, or whether this is just a standard Argentinian behaviour. Anybody has an oppinion on that point...

    Recoleta vs San Telmo

Thank you all for your comments and advice. Much appreciated! It sounds to me now like a choice between Palermo and San Telmo, rather than Recoleta. Best regards, lynxsharpeye
