Truthfully, at this time, I cannot understand why anyone would be moving here. I have been here for almost 2 1/2 years and leave for good in 2 weeks. Actually, I feel like I'm escaping.
My brother in-law just told me about this online Notary Service, https://signnow.com/. It looks like it could be a viable option, instead of shelling out $$$ and time going to the US Embassy.
if there are any former Baexpats who are now in Columbia, can you comment on the visa situation. How does it compare to things here, specifically those of us who are supposed to leave every 90 days and generally just pay the fine when leaving at EZE.
Thanks.

I enthusiastically recommend Gabriela. With Gabriela I have read Sabato, Puig, am currently reading Cortazar (Rayuela), got over my fear of speaking on the phone and feel comfortable with my Castellano (although there is always room for improvement!).
Thanks Napoleon and Sleuth for your offers. I think I'm going to try my luck with mailing something from here certified and hope for the best.
Lee, thanks for your suggestion about printing postage out from USPS. I had tried that last night and found out that you can only print out...
Thanks for the suggestions. Actually, I am not dealing with a SASE. Yes, I can mail via FedEx/DHL, but if someone has stamps they can give up, I would like to purchase them.
I know this sounds strange, but I have my reasons for needing about $5 worth of US stamps. Does anyone have any that they are willing to sell me? I can pay in pesos, or, if you prefer trade for home-made peanut butter.
Thanks!
