Milei says Argentina has no right to the Islas Malvinas

FWIW, there was a cartoon I saw some years ago in an Argentine 'zine: A young guy goes to a demonstration on Dia de las Malvinas and yells with the crowd; goes home to his apartment with posters on the wall - Beatles, The Who, Queen, Stones; puts on his jacket with the Union Jack embroidered on...

Tariffs: 10% for Argentina; 42% for Malvinas

I dunno, but somebody badly misspelled Falklands.

What is the food you miss most from "home?"

I can relate. For years, I had a pattern any time I spent more than a couple of weeks in BA - first meal back in the states was Tex-Mex, whether breakfast, lunch, or dinner...sometimes, straight from the airport.

    Disappointed with Food in Argentina

Miami's not the US - it's Little Havana!

    Disappointed with Food in Argentina

But all silver linings have a dark cloud. Total Wine is decent enough, but they choose not to do business with several importers that many in-the-know consumers look to for quality and consistency. Total Wine prefers to self-import and run margins that would make their selected products...

    Coffee and cake prices

I continue to enjoy sharing this: Starbucks - the only coffee shop in the world where I ordered an espresso, and the server had no idea what I was asking for.

Is Donald Trump good for Argentina?

IMO, to Trump and his ilk, Argentinos are just some other Mexicans, like everyone else south of the Rio Grande.

I like Cazadores or Hornitos for everyday/Margaritas, and Tierra-Noble for sipping. I'll drink white or añejo, but I'm not into all the wood in most repos. But damn, there is a lot of good Tequila out there - and Sotol.

That's a good price, but not a great one, I think. Uncomplicated crown placement in the US starts about there. I'm getting my all-inclusive health insurance in Spain for around €900 annually, and I'm an old geezer.

Just so I didn't come off as completely naive in my answer, I did a quick dive looking for several common wines in Colombia, and looked at a few restaurant beverage lists. The results tell me that I might be very thirsty living there, and probably wouldn't be able to make a living with a wine bar.

El Cortes Ingles is a favorite anywhere in Spain! In Madrid, Perrier-Jouët rosé is 15 Euro by the glass - usually the first stop for a bracer and a little jamón. Benidorm was suggested for the income potential, what with 7-9 months of tourists around. Native English spoken in a business may...

We're still at least 10 months from the move, but the process is very much in the works. Have all but eliminated Madrid for the higher COL, though we love it. Our focus is now on Valencia or Barcelona. A friend of a friend suggested Benidorm, for the tourist business. The goal is to take over...

SHHHHHHH! We're opting for Spain as well. Cost of living is great, easy to travel between cities, good people, the rest of Europe in your back yard.

Milei pitches US-Argentina trade deal to Trump-friendly audience

It's been my experience that most people who adore Trump...oh, never mind.
