Are you from/have you ever lived in TX, El Tigre?

US Citizen Interested in moving to Buenos Aries

    1. TX is an easy place to live fairly well on little income (except Austin), but damn, it's hard to excel or advance - employers act like they're doing you a favor by paying more than minimum wage. I moved to Northern California 4+ years ago, and never looked back. 2. TX ain't so "Texas...

The problem with learning Spanish in TX is that more commonly one hears Tex-Mex, which is a thing unto itself. I had to "relearn" a lot, but I like Castellano de Argentina and found it easy to pick up.

"It might be excusable though because he looked like he may have been learning challenged but here you're never certain." Wow. Just, wow. Perhaps if you knew to spell "Coke" with a capital "C"... Perhaps if you knew how to spell "Carrefour"... Perhaps if you had put the needed comma in the...

    panceta

The Luddite thing was just me being sarcastically polite about someone saying they don't have whatever modern online convenience. I might have suggested he pick the phone and call, or just go to the store. Kalimnos in BA doesn't cook it, they just sell you the raw materials. And good ones -...

    They are selling stale bread

I'm glad someone said that. There are so many local independent options. Though I do wish the Bay Area had a wider selection of bread types available. I really got spoiled living in Houston - Central Market has maybe 50 or 60 different "flavors", all baked in house.
