    New American Breakfast Restaurant!

I'm sorry but 46 pesos for 5 pancakes plus 10 peso more for maple syrup is not a realistic breakfast option, even in BA. This is not a four star restaurant, you can do better with less money.

An unforseen problem with local farmacias...

I have had similar problem, try the farmaci across the street from Alto Palermo on Sante Fe going towards Bulnes. They will have it or tell you where to get it. I don't know the name of the store but only a couple famacies on the block. They will give you a dirty look but they will fill it.

Where do you buy replacement coffee pots?

I need to replace a broken glass coffee pot. Where can you buy replacements? I have a graveyard of old coffee machines, Phillips, Black & Decker, Electrolux, etc., all with broken coffee pots. I found one place, but they only sell Braum brand coffee pots. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

    Best city tour?

I took the bus with my mom last year and stayed on the whole trip, two hours almost to the minute from Florida stop to Florida stop. Actually really worth the 50 pesos. (at the time) Ride on top but beware of tree branches hitting you in the head.

    Buses, Taxis on Christmas Eve

After around 1 or 2 AM, you will start to see taxis and buses again. On the 25th you should not have any problems finding taxis. Not much going on though, some cafes in tourist areas will be open even early in the morning. Other than the discos and clubs not much else open.

The worst pizza in the world?

Brazil has much worse pizza than anywhere I have been. In Rio they hand you a bottle of ketchup (or mustard) to pour over the cracker crust with a dusting of bland cheese melted on top. The locals seem to love it. Vile stuff.

You can get a bank account at HSBC without a DNI, you just need a AR Tax ID which is easy to get. You may have to remind HSBC about their own rules posted on their own website about account requirements, but after some time, they came around to opening an account for me. Now that I have a...

    Cheap Spanish classes?

UBA has good classes and they are fairly reasonable. They start with Level 0, which assumes no knowledge of Spanish. Classes are fun and others students to practice with. They start very soon too. http://www.idiomas.filo.uba.ar/extranjeros/ingles/cursos/regulares.htm
