Where have all the coins gone?

First you need to learn that 300 is plural so instead of 300 peso, it should read 300 pesos. Same with the number 500. It's plural. Perhaps that explains why everyone is short of money. Simple math.

Where have all the coins gone?

Argentines and 90% of the rest of the world as well. If people didn't think they had a money shortage, why would so many continue to slave away day after day in a job they don't like and/or a place they don't want to be?But that still doesn't answer the question... Where are all the coins?It's...

Buen Dia Auntie,A night watch party does sound like a good idea! Count me in. I also live in the Provencia de Buenos Aires (Ing. Maschwitz) and frequent the Delta (Tigre) where we have a summer (or really anytime) house. Perhaps I should watch the sky more often. The few times I have looked up...

Where have all the coins gone?

Thanks for the replies but still no answer. Does anyone really know what is going on? Perhaps all the change is being hoarded by the common person in an attempt to not have the problem I am facing. Or perhaps there is something much more sinister going on. Like maybe coins cost more to...

Where have all the coins gone?

Where have all the coins gone? Today I approached the MONSA 'ticket' office in Ing. Maschwitz to change a 10 peso note in order to ride the bus. They did not have change! When I inquired how I was supposed to ride the bus if they don't have coins, they referred me to a bank. At the bank...

    UFO's over Argentina

Personally, I think they were first identified as Illuminati and then integrated with the Masons. You just need to wear special glasses, the kind that remove institutional programming, to see them. The current President of the USA, for example.

    Memories of a Distant Past....

Remember when we were children? Remember the schoolyard and classroom arguments we would have with our classmates? While reading some of the comments and replies (including mine) in several of these forums, I was reminded of similar conversations between kindergarten and elementary school...

    Book Club - Online

Appears nobody is interested in an On-Line Book Club. I thought with such a large expat society in Buenos Aires, many of whom spend lots of time in front of the computer, there would at least be 5 takers. Oh well, in the words of George Thorogood; "I Read Alone!"

Why do you live in Argentina?

JG.... You stay because of your kids? Are your children prisoners here? If you really despise this place, you could transplant them to a society in which you approve. Or perhaps the 'mean people', 'dirty and polluted city and towns' in this place you call a 'cesspool' provide the kind of...

Better late than never.... I just returned from a trip to Colonia. What I noticed, immediately, was that it was quieter, cleaner, and slower paced. Step on the street and cars stop to allow you to cross. My girlfriend is Portenio. Her parents are Portenio. And both say that if they had to...

Hey Paul NL: talking about violent societies

Apples and Oranges. The question was why we have so much violent crime in the USA not why there is so much petty theft in Argentina. Unlike the USA, family is an integrated part of the social fabric here. The petty theft is a way to make a living for those who are living in poverty. As the...
