So, is there a reason to have a bank account in Argentina?

Two giants reasons for me. Online purchases and not having to worry about having enough cash in your pocket for large random purchases. I have converted all of my online services to Argentine accounts. Disney plus is like 1.50 a month including taxes, netflix 4.50 a month with taxes for the HD...

I have income coming from the US (not retirement income or social security). I wonder if I'll run into an issue with the taxes once showing a foreign source of income. I think it was mentioned earlier that the student visa may eliminate my requirement for paying taxes. I probably should verify that.

You misunderstood. I'm asking what would the court expect of me since I'm on a student visa. All income I bring into the country is only by western union. But because I had to show a bank account with enough money prior to getting the visa, I wonder if the process will be easier for me when I...

Paying for foreign purchases with Arg debit card

Even if earning in pesos the reality is that it is still a discount compared to what the rest of the world has to pay.

Paying for foreign purchases with Arg debit card

So for Argentine citizens on vacation in other countries, everything is basically at the same discount if using their cards. I was thinking it was the opposite way.

I just feel like this would somehow come back to bite me in the ass once I applied for citizenship.

Budget airlines - Flybondi & Jetsmart

I recently used jetsmart for a round trip between BA and Iguazu. Aside from it being a super budget airline I didn't have any issues.

Paying for foreign purchases with Arg debit card

If that's the case, wouldn't most foreigners who are I'm the know attempt this? I'm surprised there aren't any examples of potential consequences or if nothing has ever happened.

This has me thinking of the future. What should someone I my case have to showing? I'm here on a student visa and i had a show an account with sufficient income to survive. What would be required of me when they ask for income or whatever? I guess I should start saving those receipts.

COVID Requirements - Stopping in Peru before Argentina

There are countries that now require the booster if more than x amounts of months have passed since your completed cycle. Only a handful but they are there.

COVID Requirements - Stopping in Peru before Argentina

This isn't a Peru forum. Just Google "covid entry requirements peru" and you get the US embassy site in Peru that outlines everything.

What percentage of judges doesn't ask for your movements? I imagine most judges will ask for it. It makes sense to see how long you were actually in the country.

    EUR or USD

I prefer no fees and no markup and getting all my money. Most countries have free atms. You just have to be smart enough to not use the cheat atms and NEVER EVER accept when an atm tells you to do the conversion. Most people don't know they can just click decline and still get the money...

    EUR or USD

In a slightly on topic side comment, Americans always have the advantage of getting euros and pounds without charge since Europe is full of atms with no fees. No such atms exist in the US.

    Buying dollars at official rate

Great explanations. To be very clear, this was NOT something I was researching in order to do. After my friend mentioned the dollar buy rate at the bank it just made me instantly think that they were kind of getting free money.

    Buying dollars at official rate

I'm surprised the banks here sell dollars at the official rate. I know Argentines are limited to 200 USD per month but the government is basically giving them a free 20k pesos per month if they just buy dollars at the official and then turn around and sell them in a cueva for double. A friend of...

Argentinian foreigner's DNI as travel document?

I came into Uruguay today using only my DNI. Don't know if it made a difference that I have the new type that doesn't say extranjero at the top. I went through migraciones at the port in BA.
