Argentinian foreigner's DNI as travel document?

I believe Chile has a standing agreement for permanent residents. I am not aware of other agreements.

    Covid Vaccination Argentina

J&J is eligible after 2 months in the USA per CDC. I was just in USA and got a J&J Booster to go with my Sputnik x2. J&J because that's just what I was able to get into my arm ASAP. Some laughed at me when I said i was gonna collect em all. Who is laughing now!

Yea, I mean... "correctly". Migraciones and everything just seems easier in Entre Rios than the zoo that is Buenos Aires.

I'm never worried about what i'm bringing but how much (quantity not cost). And how much of a stupid yankee i can act like.

My wife is a lawyer. My permanent residence says i entered the country in 2018 so i have 2+ years which makes this a bit more clear cut. I also have Argentine kids so that's another. And my wife also doesn't let anyone at the courthouse push her around because she's a lawyer.

I started citizenship process in October/November. Today I'm at the "publish in the newspaper" step. The Jueza says we should be wrapped up by March or so for the carta de cuidania Pretty quick so far. This is in Entre Rios.

For those following along, no problem with my 3 50lb+ bags of toys and clothes for my kids. These guys are growing like weeds and its good to have clothes for the next 2 years ready. They did want to look at my picture hanging 3M stickers. But no problem.

    Obra social vs prepaga

I live in Entre Rios and have Swiss. We pay a bit of a premium for it. The problem: The hospitals and clinicas in provincia are all the same. It doesn't matter if you're on a premo plan with Swiss or Italiano or whatnot. If you need emergency care (or dental work) you go to the same place...

Covid test - returning to USA

I usually see the "One Day" as implemented as the previous calendar day before (or the same day). It would be challenging as a lot of labs don't necessarily put the sample collection time and the test time. If you came in at 7am for a nasal swab and they ran the test at 5pm... Which time is on...

The real Stanley thing is the pour lid honestly. Yeti does have a pour lid nowadays, but it is pricier than the 20$ stanley. Hydroflask will have cheap thermos's but no good pour cap. Yeti is far superior in its size for putting ice in.

Argentina Pitches Its Weak Currency to Attract Digital Nomads

yea, if you don't make over the threshold, you don't _have_ to file. I don't know your circumstances, but my circumstances will tell me i need to file forever.

which documents to bring for first time DNI appointment?

It will say extranero and won't be good for passport free travel. If your residency status is permanent, you can travel to chile without a passport. I am unsure about Uruguay, although i suspect no.

which documents to bring for first time DNI appointment?

Physical card is useful when you're buying things at the supermercado with the card. Also traveling en la ruta. If you're stopped by anyone its easier to hand over the DNI than a passport. But yes, the paper with your DNI on it is good enough for buying a house or car.

These things sell for like 20,000+ ARS when i can buy them for 20 USD. Argentines _love_ name brands. There are better Thermoses you can buy in the US... but if it doesn't say Stanley no one knows how privileged you are. My favorite is when you see some Peronista rioting in the street...

Argentina Pitches Its Weak Currency to Attract Digital Nomads

US citizens and US residents (to an extent) have an obligation to file with the IRS. It's really hard to avoid US taxes. However, living abroad nets you an 80,000 USD Foreign tax credit. Talk to a tax person. FYI, i'm not a tax person, don't take my advice as gospel. Do your own research etc.
