Pretty sure anyone can do #1. That's just argentine law. Anyone who can thrive/survive in argentina for 2 years gets a passport. If i was you and i was really wanting to do this, i'd fly in on tourist visa, apply to get it done. You won't have to pay the overstay fine if you're an argentine...

i don't think there's a legal framework nationally for what you're describing. you can certainly get a work visa for argentina but its not going to be easy, cheap, or convenient (for you or your business).

Yea, a way i've imagined can solve some of these probelms could be a to create a trust with you as the beneficiary and have that trust pre-funding and set to pay you out the minimal req for the rentista visa. Fund it with 24,000 USD to release 2000 USD every month. Or what ever the minimums are...
