Transporting a dog from Argentina to California

I just talked with American Airlines yesterday and here's what they said: -cost $175 (paid at check in) -As After5 mentioned, temp at all destinations cannot be below 45F or above 85F (this includes the layover destination). Since we are stopping in Texas and arriving in Minnesota, this...

    Skaters in BA?

I'm not sure if we are talking about the same halfpipe but there is a popular public skatepark near our house on Juramento y Figueroa Alcorta if you want to check it out.

    Anyone have Fibertel Wideband?

We have Fibertel 6m ($100 pesos/month for the first six months) and I regularly pull 16mb/s on the speed test, and 2mb/s download when I test on a North America server.

    Specialty shaving items

Why not go totally traditional. I prefer a sharp knife and whale blubber for that extra smooth feel.

A simple traffic accident can be dangerous

Please PLEASE take every legal action you possibly can. People like this need to learn a lesson, especially the father - who is reinforcing his son's behavior. You'll be doing good for the next poor guy who gets hurt because of these people.

Anyone got a backpack for sale?!

Hi Bexy, Since I've been slowly domesticated since settling down here, I have a wonderful used backpack that needs a good home. One of the zippers needs fixing (any shoe repair shop could do it) but other than that it will hold up for a year or two of travelling...

Place to donate clothes in Palermo

If you put them on the curb they will be gone before morning. Donation achieved. My girlfriend says the people that ring your intercom every weekend asking for clothes sell them at markets outside of capital like La Salada.

Immigration visa TO the U.S. for an Argentine?

Update: We visited the states in December which went amazing. Family loves her, she likes it (minus the arctic winters). Applied for a K-1 Fiancee visa and hopefully should be in the states before the end of summer (back to back winters are no fun)!

    Used auto parts? (Stolen wheel)

I did use mercadolibre the last time (for the aluminum wheel). Suspiciously, the guy (who lived in the provincia on the other side of Gral. Paz from Mataderos) only had one wheel. I asked about it and he had "sold the other three"

    Used auto parts? (Stolen wheel)

Yes, we have put keys on all of the 4 aluminum wheels after the first problem. I assumed the spare tire was relatively safe as you need to be inside the car to lower it. I guess they thought it was worth the trouble of breaking the lock (likely more expensive than a cheap spare tire...

    Used auto parts? (Stolen wheel)

Getting sick of this country. We parked our Renault Stepway outside our place in Bajo Belgrano. Somebody punched in the hatch lock (ruined) and stole the spare tire. Nothing fancy, just a black steel wheel. They didn't even bother stealing the radio. Two months ago someone jacked the car up...

Tourist killed in Plaza San Martin

I can't think of all the people that I've talked to around that area. Specifically the time some guy asked me for change and then pulled a knife out of his boot when I told him "vayas a la mierda!". Luckily I was so drunk I chased him away, with his knife.
