Xoom (Or Other Method) For Non Us Citizen (I.e. No Us Acc)

Thanks for the info! Does Exchange4free work through Argenper like Azimo does? I've recently realised that Argenper has offices in the USA and the UK. You can send money directly to them and get a great rate to receive pesos here. It is possible to send and receive US dollars cash in...

Xoom (Or Other Method) For Non Us Citizen (I.e. No Us Acc)

Not that I doubt the validity of the service that exchange4free offers, but I must assume by your eager promotion that there is some sort of referral fee that you earn from them, or even you may be Sr. Exchange4free himself ;) . Is this to say, that you can receive USD cash here in Argentina...

Xoom (Or Other Method) For Non Us Citizen (I.e. No Us Acc)

I found this on a Google Forum today. It details sending money from Australia/NZ to Argentina. A little dated but may still be current.

    New And Looking For Work

Good God, I'd forgotten about this. It was mentioned here a couple of years ago. Discrimination, I say! On a more sensible note, I know a lot of Irish friends working down here. Most for the embassy, but i'll ask them for ideas.

    Importing Money

I use Azimo, whom use Argenper as their agent in Argentina. I'm thinking of cutting-out Azimo and directly sending money to Argenper from my UK bank to see if it is cheaper. Any ideas on if/how this would work?

    Am I Getting Hosed?

I usually go to MercadoLibre to check prices, on this search for "valvula de incendio caldera" I guess the valvula de gas is what you need? They seem to be priced at 1500 pesos and upwards so I would say no, you are not being hosed. (Great gas/water pun by the way).

    Devaluation Thread Continued

The vocally anti-Kirchnerite, ex-head of Banco Central (BCRA), Carlos Perez in an interview yesterday thinks that the Government will not devaluate the peso further and ride the rest of their mandate maintaining the cepo, whatever the damage done to the economy. He says: the Banco Central's net...

    Next Official Devaluation

This is what should happen, letting off the steam under the pressures that amount at this time of year with soy harvests and holiday season. There has been a displacement of the position of Central Bank Governor, and the new one swore that there would be no further devaluation of the peso...

    Long Weekend Getaways In Argentina

There have been several threads on where to go to spend a few days away from Capital within Argentina. Due to distances involved many of the traditional tourist spots in Argentina are unreachable with few days' itinerary. I stumbled upon a Taringa thread, in Spanish, that contains concise...
