PCR testing prior to travel from EZE?

If you have symptoms, IMAT will send a team to your dwelling. That's the only way they'll do it.

PCR testing prior to travel from EZE?

Centralab usually has appointments available for the next day and you can make them online. They have various centers where the testing is done. If you need any help making the appt online, let me know. The cost is 5500 pesos. The results are available in less than 24 hours.

How long ago? I arrived the first of December and no one came.

    Tourism open yet?

I am at Ezezia now. It took me 40 minutes to get everything done and get to the gate, even though it looked like the lines were getting longer. Jetsmart (going to Chile) had suggested arriving four hours in advance. When I checked in there was no one ahead of me. Why not let others get there...

I know someone who flew into Ezezia Monday of last week and couldn't produce enough saliva for the saliva test (I know, hard to believe), and had to go and do a cpr test a couple of days later. Things could have changed since then or could change tomorrow, for that matter.

In the following Perfil article it says only "un análisis; doesn't specify what type and right now they are only doing saliva test at Ezezia as far as I know. https://www.perfil.com/noticias/actualidad/covid-el-gobierno-suspende-vuelos-de-varios-paises-y-cierran-fronteras-a-extranjeros.phtml

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think I read that if you can't or don't get the pcr test before flying to Argentina, you can do the saliva test in Ezeiza.

I knew they did that but I think a poster here said it took six hours total to get the test and the results, but it is a good thing to keep in mind. I didn't have that long of a layover in Sao Paulo.

Dsp27, thanks for your post. I hope you are right that the people who end up caught up in the limbo and aren't aware of the rule change aren't denied boarding, but as this wonderful kichnerista goes on to say in the article, the airlines that allow people to travel without the negative pcr test...

I just saw this in La nacion: https://www.lanacion.com.ar/sociedad/coronavirus-cuales-son-cuando-rigen-nuevos-requisitos-nid2523827 La directora nacional de Migraciones, Florencia Carignano, dio esta mañana precisiones sobre los nuevos requisitos para los argentinos que salen y entran al país...

    Tourism open yet?

Thanks for both your posts. Yes, it looks like at this point that you still don't technically need a pcr test to travel from US to Argentina (according to American Airlines, US Embassy in Arg, and the Argentine Embassy in US). But if they pass the resolution early in the week, I wonder if I can...

    Tourism open yet?

I travel from the US to BA on Monday, landing on Tuesday afternoon. Do I have to have a PCR test prior to travel, or is that the case only if I want to avoid the 14 day quarantine once the resolution is passed? I'm a permanent resident.

    Immigraciones opens

A friend uploaded everything to Radex in order to renew his residency, but then never got the emails with the payment info. And no, they are not in his spam. Has this happened to anyone else? Does anyone have a solution other than emailing migraciones? Can you even get into migraciones to talk...

    Travel health insurance

My wife had to travel to the States in May and she got a traveler's policy with Insubuy. She didn't have to use it and at the time I don't think any plans covered covid, but apparently that company now has plans that do. She did think they were good about communicating with her before, during...

Are we still required to do 2 weeks of quarantine upon re-entry to Argentina?

A few months ago in the city they would stop by your house or apt once during your 14 days after arriving from abroad to check to see if you were keeping the quarrentine.

    Western Union money transfer

You are right, you have to set the nationality of the receiver as Argentine, if it's a bank account to bank account transfer. That's what others and I have had to do. But if I am remembering correctly, someone posted here that that he did a transfer with a debit card and had to put in his...

    Law on wearing masks outside?

I would add that of course anytime one of what I am calling a "walker" enters a business or starts speaking to anyone, even if that interaction is taking place on the street, a face mask would go on immediately.
