    September Flights

dsp - So, I infer from your comments that non-nationals will be able to travel to Argentina from mid Oct onwards as long as they fulfil the normal visa requirements (i.e. the ones that were in place for flights pre Covid)? Obviously, they would have to comply with whatever Covid requirements are...

Domestic and international flights to supposedly recommence on Oct 1

I guess this sounds somewhat promising: https://www.lanacion.com.ar/economia/vuelos-meoni-confirmo-buscaran-reanudarlos-1-octubre-nid2443334

    September Flights

Does this mean that foreigners can enter Argentina from Sep 7 onwards as long they spend the first 14 days in quarantine?

Argentina re-opening international flights in August!

What I have been able to glean from a few random articles over the past few days: - The Sep 1 reopening date has not yet been officially cancelled. However, a few reports indicate that it will be pushed back to until at least Oct. - Air New Zealand and Emirates have already cancelled their...

Argentina re-opening international flights in August!

Absolutely, jblaze. It has always been a pretty expensive flight from Europe too. I think the only ones, for the most part, who will be willing to visit in the short to medium term will be those with a vested interest in the place (personal or business).

Argentina re-opening international flights in August!

Even in the best of times, Argentina as a tourist destination for Europeans and North Americans is a big ask considering the distance that one needs to travel to get there. Covid will make it even more difficult as most experts believe that long haul travel is going to be hammered for years to...

Argentina re-opening international flights in August!

So, with less than four weeks to go, there is still not any official news whether flights to Argentina will be open to non-nationals from Sep 1. The airlines must be getting pretty antsy at this stage...

Argentina re-opening international flights in August!

Folks, I just want to confirm one thing. Any scheduled flights to BA for Aug/Sep are still only repatriations for Arg citizens or are they open to all and sundry? I have yet to see any press release from the Arg government regarding the reopening of their borders to foreign nationals I want...

Argentina re-opening international flights in August!

I also think that comparing Argentina with Venezuela is somewhat unfair. Similarities? Sure. However, I don't think anyone in their right mind would consider visiting Venezuela as a tourist or, God forbid, relocating there. It is the poster child for a banana republic. Argentina, for all...

Argentina re-opening international flights in August!

Obviously, all of this means that tourism in Argentina is going to take a desperate shellacking in the short to medium term. I can't imagine many European or US visitors making such a long haul trip for some time yet. It could be at least a couple of years before numbers get back to pre-Covid...

Yep, I am also looking at sometime in Sept from Madrid if all is above board by then.

Argentina re-opening international flights in August!

I wonder if these flights are even viable for the like of Iberia and others? Surely, there is a very limited number of Argentinians who need to travel to/from Europe at this stage. One would think that the the repatriation efforts would have been completed by now...

Argentina re-opening international flights in August!

I see that flights from Madrid to BA in Sept are already available via Iberia. But what does that actually mean? Can only Argentinian citizens book them? Or are they open to EU nationals like myself too? Or do Iberia gladly take your money and leave it up to the individual to read up on the...
