Paying The Habilitación De Salida Need Some Help

Right I'm trying to pay it before I go but if it requires going to the DNM building I'd rather just wait until I leave from Ezeiza! I hate that place. Any way to pay it online?

Paying The Habilitación De Salida Need Some Help

We might be heading to UY by car in a few weeks and i've overstayed the visa again. Trying to figure out how this Banco Provincia thing works to pay the fee online... of course the own website's instructions are outdated! Big surprise there. I set up an account on the DNM/Banco Nacion...

    Cheesecloth

In the oven I don't know... mine is always for stuff outside the oven. Also I use it for steaming sticky rice in my vapor machine. Still, it's not dry heat and you don't want to start a fire!

    Cheesecloth

I bought a cloth from a fabric store; the thinnest possible cotton. Works like a charm for paneer. also have used an old t-shirt little sections rubber banded onto a jar just to strain my ghee, then i throw that chunk away.

    Puerta Cerrada Complications?

Cocina Sunae also is legit - maybe as a monotributo but anyway, the sign is there hidden near the bathroom just cuz it's ugly and she has good taste.

    Ten-Month Return Air Ticket To B.a. // 90-Day Visa

Can you really get an itinerary from Orbitz without paying anything? There have been horror stories on here from people buying 'refundable' airplane tickets that they cancel and then cannot get refunds on.

    Back Again: First Impressions

One time on a flight down to ARg I paid that extra cost for a premium economy seat (bulkhead or whatever you call it) and the chap next to me had gotten his seat for free just for showing up late to check -in. So unfair!

    Newbie!

To people who do bi-continental living, I am also interested in learning more about the lifestyle as I am considering this as a possible future for myself and my partner. We should arrange a bi-continental expats chat for those interested in learning more and those already workin' it!

Fingerprints Done At The Us Embassy?

I have a US mail service that can forward it on. Thanks for the headsup! Also wondering what is the difference if I do it before leaving the states while I'm over there. Still not sure what is the best/easiest way to go.

    Curry Night? Anyone?

I was going to go yesterday but didn't get to it. Do you know if the feria de artesanias is on every day? Was it worth it to go all the way downtown or just the same stuff you might find at the Indian dietetica in Belgrano?

    Argentina Hunting Down Justin Bieber

If you're assuming that my statement is me siding with him, you've misunderstood. (It's just that he's an old friend of my dad, but I really know nothing to opine about)

    Curry Night? Anyone?

Hi OP, you should come round to my place ; I have a variety of powdered spice mixes (purchased here and abroad), pre-fab curry pastes purchased here, and peppers store bought and growing in the garden. I can give you tips and tricks and tell you where to find what, and also make you curry!! PM...

    Argentina Hunting Down Justin Bieber

omg i didn't realize people had so many opinions about the Roman Polanski situation! By the way The Ghostwriter sucked; keeps you guessing / confused / in the dark until the very last minute and then hands you the answer to thy mystery on a silver platter. No thank you!

Fingerprints Done At The Us Embassy?

Thanks citygirl! And for the citizenship process it has to be apostilled I take it... and for the fingerprints you get the accepted cards at the embassy and have them done at the police station here? (that is if I do it from here and send away to an expeditor). Otherwise any better reason to...

Teaching Certification - How Specialistic Is It?

I did a course in New Zealand a few years before I ever come to BA (just thought it would be useful at the time). I can send you all my course materials in PDF if you want. Not the same thing as taking the class (you get to design practice lessons, try them out and get feedback) but at least you...

    More Border Controls?

They should just take the bus overland back to Arg the long way. The border crossing at Fray Bentos is super lax (besides confiscating our raw meat once on the way into UY).

Lebanese Woman Looking For Expat/locals To Enjoy Baires

Well if you don't mind heat and are used to it, it's really not so bad! But if you are used to dry heat then you will be in for a shock! And if you are really so hot when you arrive just hop on a plane to Patagonia if you have the means... it's cool and beautiful in the mountains. February is...
