    Senora Kirchner-Fernandez' lastest

Pericles: We are not talking about other countries. We are taking about Argentina. That is what the forum is about. Stop taking the Argentine "manera" and blaming other countries as an excuse. Surely you have poured over my various responses to try and manipulate any information in your...

    Senora Kirchner-Fernandez' lastest

You certainly are SO right about everything. How dare I express my opinion on a public forum and criticize anything Argentine and offend you? Have I ever said anything negative about Australia? Don't think so and actually have never met an Australian that I did not like...You can wear a...

    Senora Kirchner-Fernandez' lastest

Pericles- As usual you change the topic to American imperialism. You have a REAL problem with the U.S. I could care less. I am American, proud of that fact, however, do not agree with all policies the U.S. government is involved in. I stated before, there are problems worldwide. You do not do...

    Senora Kirchner-Fernandez' lastest

Interesting that her latest rampage has not been mentioned on here by anyone. Some of you may know...she just returned from Caracas where she was "very distressed" by the idea that Colombia would have a possible agreement with the U.S. and have American troops there working with the Colombians...

    change in rental laws?

Everyday its something else. Funny thing is....people ACTUALLY want to open up businesses here too? I don't get it. Watch out btw. That money that the government is not going to now be getting from the electricity/gas increases is going to have to come from somewhere? What will the next...

The Government just reversed gas and electricity increases

So....Does this also mean that the Porteros salaries will not be increased by 30%? They used the excuse that it was because of energy price increases. Never mind most of them have free accommodations anyway....

    Another pickpocket scam ...

A few months ago, I and a friend were walking on Libertador near the biblioteca nacional on a Saturday afternoon around 4ish. We were talking and I noticed a couple of indigenous descent behind us. My immediate thought was they were too close. Eventually a liquid was on my leg. Again, my...

    AFIP "investigating" foreigner porperty owners?

Steveinbsas Thanks so much for your concern for my health which is just fine. I am not angry, I simply call a spade a spade. If you cannot see how corrupt and money hungry this government is, then "ignorance is bliss" as they say. Enjoy your weekend.

    AFIP "investigating" foreigner porperty owners?

I bought my apartment in 2003 and have no intention of selling especially in such a hostile environment. I do not have a DNI or care to get one. If and when I sell my apartment, I will deal with all sorts of hassles anyway so why worry about it now. The rules will change 100 times by then anyway.

    AFIP "investigating" foreigner porperty owners?

I guess when a society, from the top down, is corrupt and unscrupulous, they assume everyone else in the world is too. ANYTHING to attempt to get even more money out of foreigners. They just continue to bite the hand that feeds them. It is pretty pathetic.

    I found Kiehl´s in B.A.!

Kiehl's has been in Palermo for around two years. I suggest you buy it in the U.S. as the prices here are at least three times higher.

    No more permanent residency!?....

You may think of it as a negative thought....only reality will tell. I simply believe that the whole process is a complete waste of energy, time and money. Rules change here everyday and you may go through the whole ordeal and STILL not be a resident. I believe the KEY is to avoid dealing...

    No more permanent residency!?....

WHY would you want to open a business in a "hostile" business environment? Why would you want to open a bank account here and have your money "disappear"? WHY would you support an airline that supports this policy of price gouging in the first place? Still don't get it.

    No more permanent residency!?....

WHY the Hell bother? The rules (and there aren't any in Argentina) change depending on the wind. What is really worth going through all the BS for anyway? Just go away every three months, if only to Colonia. You don't NEED a DNI for anything really.

    Indian food

Tandoor is a joke. Food nothing special, tiny portions and way overpriced. We left there still hungry. The waiter also states when the bill arrives that the prices on the menu are not accurate. I refused to pay his "increase" and just walked out.

    New ATM fee

A couple of years ago, when the local banks started limiting foreign extractions at around 300 pesos, I contacted my credit union. They stated they were aware of the situation and others had complained as well and were "looking" into the problem. I then contacted the American Embassy to make...

    are you happy there?

Grass is always greener on the other side, as they say. Ok...what I love about Buenos Aires: 1. My apartment 2. No driving required 3. Not working How is that?

    are you happy there?

For whoever posted it makes them happy to walk to buy facturas everyday....good for you. I am not being sarcastic. If that is what makes someone happy, then so be it. I have lived in Italy for eight years and Germany for two as well as DC for many. There were good and bad things about...
