    Dating in Buenos Aires.

I won't speak for the other argie men, each one of us is a different story. However, based on what I've read, I see 2 different relationship stages. 1. Dating 2. Living together, sharing duties, etc. The latter is much more difficult to solve here. It all depends on the initial stages and...

    Question to US expats

An update: Wine is not an option anymore. One of the bosses already bought lots of wine while he was here and we are taking some of that on our own. I feel used. :P Then I have to think of lighter stuff now... All the stuff mentioned seems cool. I'll see what I can do.

    Question to US expats

Thanks everybody for the tips. Here are my thoughts: - Alfajores, dulce de leche and related: I'm landing in most likely hot hot conditions. This stuff could survive the weather, but still, it seems to me more like for winter conditions, right? - Mate: I'm argentinian and rarely drink mate...

    Portenos Keep Deposits

Glad that I'm not alone in the "fight for your rights" suggestion. And to be honest, there were a couple of recent threads regarding this subject (how evil porteños are and that nobody should rent from them)... so I have the right to think SOMEBODY is just trying to make an argument to get...

    Portenos Keep Deposits

As citygirl says, that is not very common AND actually you should have a written contract stating the deposit return conditions. Even with verbal contracts you may have a case and force the landlord to just pay back before you go any further. I don't understand some of you people... you keep...

    Question to US expats

Hey peepz :) I'm traveling to the US (upstate NY) in a couple of weeks (work related) and I was wondering what ELSE could I bring with me as a present for some of my bosses and coworkers over there. The Malbec/Merlot/whatever theme is waaay clichè, but I cannot think of anything besides that...

    England Match Tomorrow

Just in case: Diego Simeone was a starting midfielder for Argentina for several years including 2 or 3 World Cups. English may remember him from owning Beckham's ass during the France 98s matchup.

    England Match Tomorrow

I agree. She's hot She happens to be Diego Simeone's former wife and mother of his sons. Carolina Baldini is her name. That's what I call racism!

    Anyone know Rosario ?

Yes, they've become a franchise some years ago. There are 2 or 3 of them in Rosario alone and a couple of others elsewhere.

    Anyone know Rosario ?

Glad that anyone pays attention to my always useful messages (snif) :( Dude, I AM from Rosario. Actually I will probably be there for our (local) father's day. Monday is "feriado" and on Sunday, there is one of the major events for our city: "Dia de la Bandera" or "Flag day". I think Cristina K...

Need a Doctor or antibiotic script ASAP

And by the way, I'm no doctor but Amoxicilin is the usual choice here for strep throats. Azytromicin is in vogue due to its few doses (although effects last 10 days), but it's a more general spectrum type of antibiotic. Dentists are the number 1 fan of Az.

Need a Doctor or antibiotic script ASAP

yes... fever and a sore (and red) throat do not translate automatically into "i have streps". 2 ways to go before taking antibiotics: 1. wait 5-6 days (95% respiratory infections are viral) 2. doctors can perform an exudado or similar tests to get the infection agent fast (strep tests are...

Ice hockey?? no no, you are way off... Now, field hockey, that's a whole lot different story. The Women's World Cup 2010 is played in Rosario around August. All elite field hockey players will participate in it. I know. You want tooth-less angry canadians on skates... I want bulky, curvy...

    from london to buenos aires

Not true. Union is a pct deducted from the paycheck. And the default is not to. The worker must proactively ask for that. What is SHARED between the employer and the goverment is social security. Maybe that's what you meant. Not all unions are corrupt and corner workers to enter the union.
