    New Exchange Rate On Wednesday

There is no feriado bancario...and while we're at it, the sky hasn't fallen yet either. What's up with all this fear mongering folks?

    New Exchange Rate On Wednesday

Uh, whatever you spend today on your Argentine CC's today will have the rate of dollar at the time your statement closes. In other words, it doesn't matter what you do. And yes all different dollar rates are going away, 35% is "dolar tarjeta".

Welcome To The Dictatorship Of Happiness

Declaring "...As I predicted, the President is a dictator." is not serious criticism. Its not even criticism, its just reactionary statements designed to grab attention. If you'd started with that I (and most everyone on here) would agree with you. Not scary by any stretch of the imagination...

Welcome To The Dictatorship Of Happiness

Sorry, the Central Bank is empty and choripans are too expensive. I think I'm going to have to settle for pancho distribution until I can print enough Rocas/Evitas.

Welcome To The Dictatorship Of Happiness

That's like saying "Socialism works because everybody in the beginning thinks they won't have to work and the government will take care of all their needs...". I don't know anyone who supported Macri who thinks they can all of a sudden become part of the 1% (probably because its a meaningless...

    New Exchange Rate On Wednesday

Cuevas always gave you a better rate if you did business with them. You could avoid ATM fees and other bank fees (also the advantage of keeping the transactions out of the system). That is what I meant by "blue rate".

    New Exchange Rate On Wednesday

Blue will exist as it always has, me thinks. The difference between the blue and normal dollar rate will not be that much. There are plenty of reasons for the blue to continue existing like not wanting to pay the exorbitant fees. Buying more money than your income suggests you can buy, etc...

Welcome To The Dictatorship Of Happiness

Yup. Agreed. However so far he's done nothing illegal in the 4 days that he's been president. Both this post and the one about how Macri is negotiating with the banks are overblown (and misunderstood/misrepresented) criticisms because Macri.

Welcome To The Dictatorship Of Happiness

You wouldn't be able to rule this unconstitutional even if you had 30 supreme court judges because this is part of the constitution. These judges are temporary, not permanent, and will last until November 30th, 2016. Just because something hasn't been used in a long time doesn't make it...

678 Propaganda Program Should Go Out Of Tv Publica Ch 7

678 should exist if they can get a spot on a private, non tax payer funded channel. I don't see how it would be legal or constitutional to even think about censoring them. They're a bunch of low lives (as proven by the video posted by Gringoboy) but if a government is able to censor low lives...

The Strange Election Law In Santa Cruz.

The situation with the Falklands is that Argentina considers Islas Malvinas as part of Tierra del Fuego. Since Scioli won the majority of votes in that province, its shown as blue. However, when you zoom in, you see a further break down of how voting happened on a smaller scale in different areas.

The New Head Of Banco Nacion

The Constitutions of 1949 or 1994 (not even the one of 1957) don't mention anything about where the baston and the banda are handed over to the incoming president. What the Constitution does mention is where the president swears in: Constitution 1949: Art. 81 - Al tomar posesión de su cargo...

So Much For The Sanctity Of Institutions

LOL! OR it could mean "negotiate a deal that everyone will be happy with for now in this difficult time and not run the country into the ground further". But unlike you I guess I am unable to read minds.

So Much For The Sanctity Of Institutions

Depends on the situation. It would play against Macri's government and creating an environment of trust would be pretty difficult if not outright impossible. That's why they're trying to avoid default and are currently in negotiations with the involved parties...

So Much For The Sanctity Of Institutions

Yes but if Cristina does unconstitutional things and robs people in broad day light like a Mafiosa it's for "the good of the country". If Macri tries to negotiate a deal and hopes all parties come to an understanding (nothing nefarious about the word "persuade" by the way Bradley, it's used in...

    The New Macri Government

LOL totally get Macri's joke in the oath ceremony now.

    The New Macri Government

Macri's had a history of doing these press conferences and "transparency" in the city. Now obviously how transparent that "transparency" really is is anyone's guess.

What Will We Argue About With Cfk Gone??!

The oath ceremony was in Congress. Not the balcony of Casa Rosada. And who cares if Obama, Merkel and Cameron danced or not. They're not the examples the whole world must follow. I didn't even mind when Cristina would dance with the crowd. PS: OP look! You're getting your "complaints" already! :)

What Will We Argue About With Cfk Gone??!

I thought the dancing was the best part of the ceremony. You could clearly hear people going "que baile!!! que baile!!!". And then they started singing for him so he'd dance. Instead of going "no gorilas!!!! I'm the president!!! I know better than you, just eat your choripan and shut up!" He did...
