Argentina suspends beef exports for 30 days

While that's true, you're forgetting this is an election year.

What is your status while waiting for citizenship application to be processed?

Jantango was granted citizenship quite a few years ago, so the situation may be very different now. What I remember from recent citizenship threads is that the courts are looking more favorably and processing much more quickly (at least pre pandemic) the application of those who have not done...

Reduced flight schedules and current entry / exit requirements

I didn't go to Centro Rossi but I had no problems getting into the US with the quick antigens test.

    Standing in line.

My experience here in general is that Argentines wait there turn in line, but that does not happen in airports at boarding, as you point out, nor inside planes in the debording process. Some Argentines (I shouldn't say all but I will say too many) don't seem to understand that you have to wait...

    My Social Security Account

I understood that very clearly (and for that reason didn't reference your posting) but others had mentioned starting to receive benefits and seemed to be under the impression that you had to use a US address.

    My Social Security Account

When my wife was eligible to receive SS benefits, she used and still uses our address here in Argentina, without a problem. That was in 2017 and she did everything over the phone, talking with an agent.

Reduced flight schedules and current entry / exit requirements

I've taken the same Delta flight two since the pandemia started and I've never gotten to the airport more than two hours in advance. The last time (six weeks ago) I sailed through everything and had plenty of time to shop and eat.

Credit cards for temporary residents? Building credit history?

You may be right; I may have spoken without knowing the current situation or what may have been something done only by Banco Macro at the time for those sending their SS checks here. That was in 2017.

Credit cards for temporary residents? Building credit history?

The only way I know to get a credit card from a brick and mortar bank here is if you have some form of income, be it from a pay check here or something like social security from the States. With a regular source of income it doesn't matter that you have only temporary residency. When my wife...

How to Deal with Some Neighbor Gripes?

We have a downstairs neighbor whose hearing is not good and everytime construction was being done above us, she would call and ask why we were making so much noise. After the quarantine started last last year, she called twice to complain about all the noise our two cats were making, when, in...

Reduced flight schedules and current entry / exit requirements

You have only to fill out the declaracion jurada for the govt here, but the place you are going may require a negative pcr, something that will be checked by the airline personal when you check in.

Where to take a PCR test in Bs.As. for international travel

If you're traveling to the States, you don't have to do a pcr, you can do the quick antigens test at IMAT or Maipú (and possibly other places as well). Neither of those places go very deep into your nose for that test. The antigens test costs less than a pcr.

Reduced flight schedules and current entry / exit requirements

I arrived on April 16th and there was no waiting at any point- neither immigration, customs nor pcr testing. For the test they had us get in a line, but very shortly thereafter we were told to fill out online a form for the test. As soon as we had the form filled out, we were sent around the...

Reduced flight schedules and current entry / exit requirements

Ceviche asked this question a few weeks ago, but I couldn't find that anyone had responded: is the city checking to see if recent arrivals are keeping quarantine? Has that been anyone's experience?

Reduced flight schedules and current entry / exit requirements

Yesterday in Clarín there was an article about American Airlines cancelling their three flights over the weekend and the problems that generated. American blamed the govt, and the govt American, saying that they never asked American to reduce their number of flights. It appears that American...

Anybody trying to fly out to get vaccinated and then return?

Just keep in mind that they are now saying possibly by mid April there will be only four international flights a day to Argentina. I am in the States now (I came to be vaccinated) and I hope my return flight to Argentina doesn't get reprogrammed for weeks later before I get my second dose in ten...
