    Overstaying 90-day limit

I waited 1 hour fifteen minutes to enter Argentina a few days ago. They are training more employees at passport control. They expect this summer to be faster entries.

Can anyone comment on Clem Helados? I have one near me and I am not an ice cream expert.

Has anyone called an Uber from Ezeiza for transport into Capital? If it's cheaper than a taxi, I'd like to try it.

We should alter the rules of this forum. Admin should delete all posts that include insults, foul language and photos of real sushi. :)

Is it "normal" for landlords to have tenants pay city and province property taxes?

I had the same thing happen. I got a lawyer and he handled everything. I got 100% of my deposit back, despite the owner's attempt to keep 100%. Best $50US I ever spent.

what is current rental contract increase?

I have always entered 6 month contracts. Contract renegotiation was always difficult. I had decent luck by using the published inflation figure. Landlords argued that apartment costs were rising faster than inflation. Perhaps they were. But I kept repeating the government inflation figure and...

Shipping my personal laptop to Buenos Aires

Your best bet is to call friends and family. Tell them what a wonderful time you are having in Buenos Aires. You love the architecture, the food, the people and the museums. If they hurry, they can still catch decent weather. Oh and by the way, when they come, they should bring your 5-year old...

Picking up DNI at Jujuy office - how to know when it's there

I waited a week and went to Jujuy. It wasn't there. The lady at Jujuy told me to come back in a month. I went 5 weeks after that, and it was there. That was about 4 years ago though. Just offering my experience.

    Portable Wifi Router

I think some people were hooking up DSL along with their broadband. So when the broadband went down, they just switched to the DSL. I don't know if DSL is available anymore in BA. But if so, you could run dual providers.

    Teaching English in Buenos Aires

The girl I knew who taught english here constantly lamented the problems with transportation over such a large city. In other words, she could only get in 3 -4 lessons per day - if she was lucky - because it took so long to get from place to place. This dynamic undermined her ability to earn an...

    1-Day Overstay

When I bought my flight, I entered "90 days" in the search engine. For whatever reason, when my flight departs, I will have spent 91 days in Argentina. When you overstay the 90-day visa, even by a day, does your name go on a "list of usual suspects" or are there any other potential future...

Trump walks off leaving Macri standing alone

Argentina is amazing. For a country that economically and politically does not matter on the world stage, it punches far above its weight in headline capture. Whether its the corrupt former presidenta, the debt default battle that raged in the NY Appeals court for years, the Nisman affair, the...

Trump walks off leaving Macri standing alone

With GDP of around $600B, Argentina barely makes the G20. Of all 20 members, Argentina ranks 19th, with only South Africa having a smaller economy.

    Selling dollars

If you have an account at the bank, then you can sell them at the bank. In my experience, the banks are offering about half a peso better than cuevas right now. I am going to my bank to change money today. If you want to pile on, PM me and you can meet me there at 10 am.
