Trump injured after being shot while speaking at a campaign rally

Trump never ran for a political office before his campaign for the presidency in 2016. Lazy RFK Jr did not bother to run for an elective office, despite family connections, and his name, until now. These guys think they are so wonderful they did not need to learn on the job, as a state...

Trump injured after being shot while speaking at a campaign rally

Was the bullet that killed the attendee, a firefighter with a wife and two kids, part of the script? Granted, Trump only is interested in himself, but a conspiracy involving a dead bystander is too far a stretch for me.

    Les Ancients Combattants restaurant

I dined there about a year ago. The service was very good, and the food was excellent. Fine dining, not the kilo of meat and potatoes one can often encounter in popular joints in Bs. As. The only drawback was a jazz band performing. All the surfaces were hard; the acoustics muddied the...

Bank of America holding Wire Transfer-'Compliance Check'

I have an Argentine bank account in US dollars and use my Schwab account to wire funds to the Argentine bank. There are many forms to fill out on the Argentine side, but the money has always been credited, over several years.

US tax implications US Expat marries an Argentine

A quick look at the IRS website indicates that if I marry an Argentine, the spouse will have to file a form W-7 to obtain a Tax Identification Number. This would permit my filing a 1040 as Married ,Filing Jointly. Any suggestions on sources, experts, in BA that can provide accurate advice?

    Catch-22 póliza de caucion

I wish I could help, but my experience dates from 2018. US citizen, who applied to the Argentine consulate for a visa as a pensionado. That was a process that took several months. I submitted proof of funds, pension income, local police statement in my Ohio jurisdiction attesting to no...

    Milei’s Amputation Regime for Argentina

Artists and athletes in the Soviet system were groomed and exploited as servants to the propaganda goals of their masters. And discarded when they were no longer useful. My view is they did not contribute to the well being of the people, just glory to the leadership. Under Putin, the state...

$100K+ USD for apartment can seller legally insist on cash?

I thought the topic was USD cash for real estate. But since you mention cryptocurrencies as a "solution", I recall the last time crypto was put forth as a solution. A few years ago, I got an email threat that claimed my computer was infected, and the person alleged he had lurid, incriminating...

$100K+ USD for apartment can seller legally insist on cash?

I would much prefer to pay for an apartment with a bank transfer. I'm adverse to a drug dealer like cash transaction, carrying a gym bag of $10KUSD bricks on the streets. If the seller can choose the place of the closing, can they legally insist on cash payment? Or is under reporting income...

Cry for me... Argentina ranks #1 on Misery Index!

Hanke's Misery Index is not funny to me. It is a shameful, intellectually feeble descent to click bait. Whereas the UN Human Development Index has GDP per capita, Hanke's index only incorporates rates. If a Misery Index has Norway roughly similar to Mali and Burkina Faso, my instinct is to...

How much more are you paying for your health (prepaga) insurance?

Don't expect any price list available to the general public on expensive surgeries. In the US, maybe the hospitals know prices, and the insurers know prices; try getting that info out of them. Here in Argentina, I am not aware of public info on bypass surgeries, stent implants, invasive cancer...

    Another medical insurance question!

I had CIGNA for the 1st year I was in ARG. That gave me time to get Hospital Italiano coverage. I was 69 then, but had to have a blood sample analysis and a questionnaire for medical history before I was enrolled. CIGNA was way too expensive to extend the contract after one year.
